Yoga Poses - Trikonasana (Triangle Pose)

Trikonasana (Triangle Pose) affects the muscles on the side of the trunk, the waist and the back of the legs. It is a great posture to improve our digestion and with a regular practice it helps to reduce waistline fat.

Trikonasa step-by-step:

  • stand erect with the feet together
  • take a big step forward with your left foot, turn your right foot to the side to find a balance
  • stretch the arms sideways and raise them to the shoulder level so that they are in one straight line
  • bend forward, taking care not to bring the body forward
  • place the left hand on the left foot, keeping your knees straight and 2 arms in line with each other
  • look up to your right palm in the final position and breathe
  • return to the upright position with the arms in a straight line
  • repeat on the other side
  • inhale while raising the arms, exhale while bending forward
